Project Challenges
One of the biggest challenges we faced with this project was helping the customer get a full roof replacement approved by insurance. The customer had previously been approached by a roofing franchise company who claimed that her roof was in terrible shape. The franchise representative even went as far as to claim that he had almost fallen through her roof! However, when our team at JW Roofing inspected the roof we found that it was in fine shape and not falling through.
The unfortunate truth is that there are plenty of roofers out there that prey on homeowners whose homes have just been damaged by storms. The franchise company further misinformed the customer by making false claims about the stability of her roof, questioning her ability to file an insurance claim, and quoting her an outrageous amount for a replacement.
Project Manager at JW Roofing, Jesse Walters, shared that “the franchise company lied to the homeowner by telling her that she had one layer of shingles when in reality she had two. They also provided her with a quote of $24,000, which was almost three times what we ended up charging her at JW Roofing.”

Finally, we used Atlas Pro-Cut Starter Shingles and Atlas Pro-Cut Hip & Ridge shingles for a sharp, finished look.
